Nature-led slow living, where people stay, share food, gather, and create. Just outside Rome, immersed in nature, Madonnella is a countryside retreat for families, couples, and creative souls seeking a slower rhythm of life. Here you can stay overnight, share seasonal food, or join one of our open experiences. Through workshops, gatherings, and collaborations with chefs and artisans, Madonnella is shaped around people, offering a calm setting for rest, creativity, and connection in nature.
ABOUT US
Madonnella Agricola began as our home. Just outside Rome, we restored a small farmhouse and garden to create a slower, more natural way of living — close to food, creativity, and the land.
We met during our university years. Both art historians, our lives became intertwined as we cultivated shared dreams and passions that eventually flowed into this life project: Madonnella Agricola, a small organic farm and agriturismo with a swimming pool on the outskirts of Rome.
After living abroad for several years, we returned to Italy with a clear vision of what we were looking for and what we wanted to create — a place of nature and beauty, for ourselves and for others.
Giulio is an artist with a vivid imagination and deep creativity. Mariangela brings a passion for cooking, good food, hospitality, and the natural world.
What started as a personal dream slowly grew into a place to share — a place to stay overnight, gather around seasonal meals, learn through hands-on workshops, and simply enjoy time outdoors.
Today, Madonnella is both our home and an organic farmhouse, open to guests who seek quiet, beauty, and a gentler rhythm of life — whether for a shared table or a longer stay.
