Giulio and I (Mariangela) had been dreaming about Madonnella long before we found it. When the opportunity finally came to bring our idea to life, we knew exactly what we wanted to create.

We have always loved the Nordic approach to simplicity — natural materials, access to nature, quality, and cleanliness. The architecture of Madonnella is unique for the area, and its aesthetic reflects the many places that have inspired us throughout our lives.

Each bedroom has its own personality. What they share is light, calm, and thoughtful detail. All rooms are built using natural materials such as wood, clay, and lime. Every element was carefully chosen to reflect our values and design ethos. You will also find pieces that are personal to us — vintage objects from our family heritage and Giulio’s paintings.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. We chose not to include televisions, to preserve a slower and more peaceful atmosphere.

During the Roman summer, our natural swimming pool — hidden among cork oak trees — is open to guests for moments of relaxation and quiet. The pool is usually available from mid-May to mid-September; however, opening dates may vary each year depending on the season. Please ask for current availability.
